Flue Penetration, Highton
Our team receive a request from Highton of an old customer asking for our assistance in a flue penetration project. He explained that the roof of his newly constructed house had developed leaks due to water seeping through the chimney and causing damage to the surrounding ceiling.
After inspecting the problem, we found out that there were no proper flashing or seals around the flue pipe, resulting in a lack of waterproofing and improper ventilation. As a result, we proposed a solution that would not only fix the issue but also improve the efficiency of the flue system. With our experienced team and quality materials, we were able to successfully complete the project within half day.
Our first step was to remove the existing shingles around the flue pipe and properly seal it with flashing and waterproofing materials. Next, we installed a new flue pipe with insulation and ensured proper ventilation to prevent any future leaks or damage. Finally, we replaced the shingles and sealed the edges to provide maximum protection against harsh weather conditions.
